WickerTithe

A 24/7 horror-folk livestream

It begins hollow.
You fill it.

One empty monster, woven of husk and wicker. It knows nothing. Every comment in chat is a tithe: a word it keeps, a habit it learns. Feed it long enough and it builds, mates, breeds and dies, and what's left behind is a civilization nobody planned.

An antlered figure woven from wicker, with a hollow at its center

How the tithe works

You don't control the monsters. You shape what they become.

  1. Chat feeds it

Every comment is an offering. Words taught by many different viewers carry more weight than one voice shouting, so no single person can steer it alone.

  2. It learns

The hollow thing picks up words, habits and fears. What it learns changes how it thinks and what it does next.

  3. It builds shelter

It gets hungry. It gets cold. It gets afraid of the dark. To survive, it gathers food and weaves itself a place to hide.

  4. It finds a mate

Given time and luck, it isn't alone anymore. Monsters pair up on their own terms.

  5. It reproduces

Offspring inherit their parents' traits, with mutations, and carry some of the words chat taught them. Then the old ones die.

  6. A civilization grows

Generations stack up. Factions, names and a shared culture emerge from what chat fed them. Nobody wrote the ending.

The rules

Questions

Can I win?

No. There's nothing to win. You're helping a strange civilization grow, and watching what it becomes.

Do the monsters really die?

Yes. They die of old age, hunger, exposure and other causes. Death is permanent. What survives is what they passed on to their offspring.

Can one person take over the monster?

No. A word's influence grows with the number of different viewers who teach it, so one loud account can't unlock everything. Commands only nudge the culture; they don't control individual monsters.

How is chat moderated?

Chat follows the streaming platform's rules and ours: no hate, harassment, threats or sexual content. Messages that break them get removed, and their senders can be banned. Duplicate comments are filtered out before they ever reach the world.

Is the content graphic?

The look is dark horror-folk: husks, antlers, wicker and things that go hungry in the night. Some scenes include monster death and may carry a mature-content label on the streaming platform.

How do I support it?

A flat $1-a-month supporter tier is coming soon. It isn't open yet, so there's nothing to buy and no payment is collected on this site. For now, the best support is showing up in chat.
